Champaign Police investigators are seeking information regarding a report of an aggravated battery that occurred in the area of Garwood and Champaign Street.  On Wednesday, March 3rd, at approximately 5:53 p.m., a 9 year old male victim advised that he was battered by a group of 6 to 8 unknown older males.   

The victim stated he was approached by the group of males, who began to hit him and push him into the dirt.  They also forced his mouth open and made him eat dirt, and struck him with a stick. 

The suspects were described as being black males, approximately 16 years of age and older.   

The victim did not need medical treatment.

The information you provide is confidential. You do not have to give your name or appear in court. CrimeStoppers will pay a reward if the information you provide leads to an arrest for this crime.
